Michelle Paul

Hello, My name is Michelle and I am a student Doula in both the Labor and Postpartum programs at Birthingway College of Midwifery. My interest in birth work was sparked by the birth of my first child, who made me a mother 20 years ago. Since that time, I have been fascinated with the journey a family goes through when bringing a new life into the world. I believe that it is crucial for the birthing parents wishes to be respected and supported in order for them to feel empowered in their labor and delivery, as well as postpartum. My purpose is to provide individualized nuturing care and emotional encouragement along with evidence based information to help you make informed decisions about your care and that of your baby.

I have enjoyed my work as a Nanny over the last eight years, where I have had the privilege of being with families as they have brought a new baby home and assisted them with that transition. Helping older siblings adjust to their new role has been particularly rewarding. When not working with new families, I enjoy hiking, golfing and spending time in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes.

I look forward to being a knowledgeable, calm and helpful presence during this most exciting time for you.
