|Can’t find the item or article you need in the Birthingway Library? Try requesting it through Multnomah County Interlibrary Loan (ILL). All you need is a Multnomah County Library card with a barcode. You’ll create your own account and password so you don’t even need a MultCoLib pin number. Their tutorial and FAQ pages are very helpful!|
To access the databases below, you will need your login information. This is provided to you by the Birthingway library and is sent to your Birthingway.edu email account. If you cannot locate your login information or if you have not yet requested that information, please email the library to set up your account. If you are not yet a member of the Birthingway Library, you may not qualify for database access.
The library maintains subscriptions for select journals not included in the library’s database access. Please contact the library about journal holdings.

It offers full-text articles for more than 180 international, and often peer-reviewed journals and reports. There are hundreds of pamphlets, booklets, special reports, original research and book excerpts. Login to the Alt HealthWatch™ database using your Birthingway library card barcode and pin number provided by the librarian.|
|ScienceDirect is a leading full-text scientific database offering journal articles and book chapters from more than 2,500 peer-reviewed journals and more than 11,000 books. There are currently more than 9.5 million articles/chapters, a content base that is growing at a rate of almost 0.5 million additions per year. Elsevier has digitized as much of the pre 1995 journal owned-content as possible, bringing articles from as far back as 1823 (The Lancet) to the desktop. Contact the library about obtaining a ScienceDirect account.|
