Kimberly Howlett

Kimberly HowlettHi! My name is Kimme. I just completed Labor Doula training and certification through Birthingway College of Midwifery. I am beyond excited to lend my skills and to be of service for the Portland/Clark County Community (North Portland native and currently living in Battle Ground, Washington)! I support all patchworks of life and a variety of birth needs.

Birth/Postpartum is a normal, natural process that a woman’s body is designed to experience. A main focus of mine is to assist women with being in tune with the changing hormonal effects in her body. My philosophy is to offer a nonjudgmental, holistic, intuitive, nurturing and simplistic approach to pregnancy, birth and transitioning at home. My goal is to educate along with giving safe, supportive care to every family. My hope is that women feel empowered by their birth experience, no matter what path is taken. Birth, to me, does not stop after delivery. I am committed to providing continuous care with compassion, humility and empathy. It is an honor to hold a space in your birth experience.

My passion with birthwork began at the young age of 10, after witnessing the birth of my sister. A personal interest, fascination and miraculous wonder in pregnancy, childbirth and babies began at that moment. I am a proud and joyful mother of three beautiful teenage ladies. I have a huge heart and humble spirit. My incredibly supportive husband and I love to go on date nights which include trying new restaurants, meandering around Portland, & frequenting favorite brew pubs. I have a penchant for travel, hiking, cooking, Oenology, studying the Endocrine system, SUP boarding, music, improv singing/dancing (much to my girls chagrin) and The PNW.
